The anguish of that sad hour, for those who loved her, is too sacred a thing to dwell upon. Robed in spotless white, emblem of purity, she lay in her youthful loveli ness. Crowds of relatives, friends, and servants gazed through tearful eyes at the pure picture, which might sug gest a spirit bride. The lovely white casket was crown ed with beautiful (lowers, emblems of the resurrection. In her church, where she was formerly organist, a large crowd gathered to pay the last homage to one who was beloved and admired in, and beyond, the bounds of her native village. Her old pastor spoke long and well of the young life just closed.
