GEN. BOOTH PREPARES FOR BLINDNESS General William Booth, founder and head of the Galvatlon Army, Is pre paring bravely and methodically for the blindness which, it Is feared, must overtake him unless the wonderful operation to be performed In the autumn Is successful. General Booth already has lost the sight of one eye, and the other Is so enfeebled that he can hardly see. Every day the brave old man of eighty-two has both eyes bandaged and thus walks about his home, famil iarizing himself with the feel of objects which before long he may be unable to see. If the operation Is unsuccessful and darkness falls completely, tho general is determined It shall find him fighting still. If he cannot see with hie eyes, he will see with hla fingers.
