After giving all of the letters careful exam ination for originality of thought and expression, leaving oul all considera tion of grammar or rhetoric, the judges decided that the winner of the doll was Mary Dlackwell. The Advertiser asked three Judges to act In this contest. Fach judge was sent separately a ropy of the letters with the nr.me detached.
