The big weokly editions of daily papers published in Atlanta and other cities, that you get for a low price make you think that the price of your county pa per is high. But these big weeklies do not tell you who is on the jury in Lau rens. They do not toll you who of your friends are married and who uro dosd. You cannot call upon thorn to publish the rolls of honor in your schools and the announcements of your picnics and club meetings. Even the advertise ments in your county paper are valua ble to you?they contain information which ovory man in Laurens county frequently needs. This year is oloc tion year and you will nood a county paper raoro than usual. One gallant and elegant adjutant geueral, who was and is a pirticu lar friend of mine, M. L. Botiham, was disabled, and lay resting neat the refreshment stand on the day of our arrival, but he soon recov ered, bu?I was able to perform all of his duties until the end of the campaign. Our gallant General liugu.enln was equal to any emer gency, and his chief aid, K. P, ftlc Kissiek was charging everything that looked at all like breastworks or a outcry.
