The Weekly Courier-Journal, pub lished at Louisville, Ky., delights in keeping its subscriberstguessing. In addition to being the greatest Demo? cratic newspaper published, it has been a pioneer in enterprises that require thought and figuring on the part of its subscribers. The Weekly's estimating contest on the election in 1892, by Which $14,400 in gold coin wore dis tributed among forty-live guessers, is a sample of this. Yesterday at 1 o'clock at tho elegant homo of tho bride at Belton, Captain A. B. Byrd, of Greenville, was mar ried to Mrs. A. B. Brown. Doth of tho contracting parties ai'O well known in Greenville. Captain Byrd has long been a resident of this city, and until recently was superin tendent of the C, K. & W. railway. Mrs. Byrd was a resident of Green ville for some years where she made a host of friends by her princely hospi tality and charming entertainments. Tlio ceremony was performed by the Rev.
