School Commissioner. -There aro two things, each of which he will seldom fail to discover who seeks for it in earnest : the knowl edge of what he ought to do, and a plausible protext to do what he likes. -If private judgment means to you the right to think anything at all, whether truo or false, then it is well to know that, in that sense, the right of private judgment does not exist. -Nothing teaches patience like a garden. You may go around and watch tint opening bud from day to day ; it tokes its own time, and you cannot urge it on faster than nature directs.
