OAKLINGTON A CO., Proprietors. OUR COUNTY FAIR. The Socond Annual l'air of Lau rons Ag? ?cultural and Meehan Ical Association, which was hohl hore ??n Wednesday and Thursday of last week, was, as everybody pre dicted it-would be, u grand success and a glowing tribute tn the ^kill and industry of our people. This is not a surprise, for Laurens seldom fails in anything she undertakes, and especially w hoa ber fair daugh ters contribute to tho enterprise. Tho cowal '.hat gathered upon the grounds to witness thc display of horses, <a ttl?*, dee., was immense, w hile the ('oort House, which con tained tho domestic and household ... c-^T?\".?"kts, was densely thronged "from early morn to dewy eve." The Court House, which is unusual ly large, cud all it- apartments on tho second floor open to visit ors, could not accommodate one fourth of those present. The dis- j play in every department was certainly good, and WO would like to make especial mention of many articles exhibited, bul our limited space warns us to forbear and wo must be content with publishing the premium list as handed in by tho various committees. Several of ibo comm! .ces have laded to report up to .i is time, and eotiso qcntly the list is n rt complete. (ATTI.H. NINTH CL VSS-Dr uti AM on SHOUT NOUN. UllAUK DKV.ONS.
