McCrorey of this place received a telegram last Thursday announcing the death ot his niece, Miss Lucretia Mobley, the youngest daughter of his sister Mrs. Kate Mobley, which occurred at her Greenville home the previous night, alter a protracted illness of pulmonary trouble. Miss Mobley was about 22 years of age and had often visited her uncle here. She was much loved by all who knew her and her many friends here will lament her untimely death. Thomasson also attended the funeral. Death of Mr. J. N. Taylor. Mr. J. N. Taylor, one of Lancaster county's oldest and mo9t highly osteeraed citizens, died last Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1903, at about 5 o'clock a. m., at the home of his second son, Mr. Samuel D. Taylor of Craig9ville, after a lingering illness of about six months. When the death sentence came, he was in his 80th year. He was twice married, first in 1848, to Miss Martha J. McMurray who left three sons, Messrs Win H , S. D. and J. * \ \ Everett Taylor, who are all well and favorably known. The second marriage was to Miss Martha A. Gamble, May 1st, 1850, whose only surviving chihl is Mr. John D. Taylor of Craigsville. Mr. Taylor was an excellent citizen, an honest, honorable uprigh tChristian man whom to know was to esteem. For the past thirty years ho was a ruling older in the Shiloli A. K P. church, whero his remains were interred last Thursday afternoou after a funeral service at the home of Mr. i$. i>. Taylor, conducted by Kev. J. II. Boldridge of this place.
