% Jaws Tightly Locked From Nervous Spasms. Physicians Could Not Prevent Fits. Dr. Miles* Nervine Cured My Wife. Dr. Miles' Nervine has been successfully tried in thousands of cases of nervous disorders, but neverjhas it made abetter record than when used in the treatment of fits or spasms. Thousands of testimonials prove this, and in llPorlv ever* !>.? ^ ?rt that the tits ceased after ti\e first dose of Nervine was given. The statement is repeated in the following: "Seven years ago my wife commenced having spasms or fits and I called in n\y home physician at)d he said she was paralyzed. He rubbed her with salt wr.ter and gave her calomel and she eventually got some better, but in a short time she had another attack. She was confined to her bed for three months and the doctor could not help her. She had fits frequently, some times very severe. Her hands woulo cruotp so we could not open them and she tin ally got so her jaws would become locked! Finally I saw the doctor was doing her no good and ordered a bottle of Dr. blues' Restorative Nervine. She received^so much benefit from the first bottle that iVot some more. She has taken a number ot bottles but has never had a fit since taking tlic first dose. She also thinks very highly of Dr. Miles' Nerve and L.iver Ptll6 and is never Without them. If there is any w.?y of making this testimonial stronger oo so because of the good the Dr. Miles Restorative Nervine did my wife."?VVm. V. Allen, P. M., Flkvillc, Miss. There in really no telling how long a snake can go without food. It is estimated that a horse can live 25 days without solid food. A horse will live on water for that length of time. Hears can live for six months without foodThey generally live through the winter months by Hacking theii paw. Of course they have pome food on hand, and they slip out to get what they can, but the main sustenance of the bear is the accumulated flesh of the summer. But 1 am inclined to believe that the snake can hold the i record when it comes to doing without food. I had an experience a few years ago which convinced me of this fact. I caught a rattlesnake in my henhouse in the sonrheastern part of Arkansas, and happened to catch him so lie could not get out. There was a good-sized rat hole in the place, and he darted into this as a last resort. I stopped the hole so the I snake could not cot. out and for the purpose of starving the reptile to death. I never thought any more about tlie snake until more than 18 months after that, when I had occasion to make some repairs about the place. It was necessary to do some excavating I was simply startled to find, a short distance below the surface, the snake 1 had sought to starve to death. He was a little lank and not verv active, but he was still alive. I felt sorry for the Ireptilian, and would not kill him, allowing him to crawl away. Since that time I have been convinced that a snake could do without food for a considerable length of lime, and the claim that they can go 21 months does not star'le me at all, for the snake in this instance 1 am sure never had a bite to eat during the time he was in the rat ho'e.
