The residence of Capt. J. P. II inner, father of the bride, was tastefully decorated with cedar, holly and other evergreens appropriate to the season ; tin daylight being excluded mellow illumination from candles and shaded lamps lent lustre to tlio scene. Cunningham, the only attendants of the couple, passed slowly through the hal and into the parlor, where the ceremony was to he performed They were, at a proper interval 'followed by the bride and 1 groom, elect. She carried a bouquet of "Bride Roses," imported from New York. Iler beauty, which is proverbial, was at its best on this memorable occasion. Mr Barron was in full ] travelling suit, and was hand some ;in<l dignified. Miss Foster wore lavender serge trimmed in two shades of green velvet, with front of cream lace, hat ami gloves to match. C., cousin of the groom, performed the ceremony, which was chaste, poetic j.nd solemn, and was accompanied by low soft strains from the organ in tlio opposite room. Soon after congratulations wore over the guests, who were nearest friends and immediate families of the couple, were conducted to the dinning hall, where a sumptuous lunch was spread. The table was a dream of beauty ; it was covered with cut geranium leaves ; and two hearts made of the ever graceful sniilax adorned either end. The bride's cake formed the center piece. It was imported, and was a unique production of art. The frosting was superb, and was finished by a perfect bride and groom, in regulation costumes, standing beneath an arch of white roses on its summit.
