In re-A. K. P. Presbytery.
The A. R. P. Presbytery met
at Tirzah, York county, on
Tuesday and continued through
Wednesday. The opening sermon
was preached by Rev. J.
E. Johnson. The sessions were
presided over by Rev. R. E.
Hough, a native Lancaster boy.
Calls for the services of Rev.
J. M. White from Unity, Oill's
creek and Pleasant Hill and
from Iluntersville and Gilead,
N. C., for Be v. J. M. Bigliam,
were placed in the hands of
these brethren and by them
accepted. The next session of
the body will be held at Rbenffcer,
N. C.f with Rev. S. J.
Patterson as moderator.

Georgia Legislators Fight With
Knifes.
Atlanta, Ua., Nov. 1.?A special
from Valdosta, Ga., says:
It leaked out today that a fight
occurred !ast night on the special
train bringing the Georgia logisIrture
here to attend the state
fair. There was a difficulty between
aonie of the members and
it is understood that Mr. Hardin
of Wilkes was stabbed by Senator
Hamrick.
Mr. Hardin was put off the
train at Forsyth for medical treatment.
Several other members,
including Mr. Cann of Chatham,
received slight injuries in the
effort to separate the behgorents.
It is said that the men were the
best of friends and whiskey is
given as the cause of the trouble.
The party very much regret the
affair and none of them ran be
induced to talk about it.

weighed by Mr. J. F. Nisbet
since September first are 4700
bales. He says he has weighed
the last bale for a number of
men, and that tho numbers will
not run ovei 8,000 or 8,500 this
