Heavier clothing and fire felt comfortable. The cotton market holds up to 10 cents, and a littte above, for a good article of cotton. Cotton seed are selling from 29 to 30 cents per bushel. W. J. Moorhoad, of Hickory, and W. W. Castle, of Smyrna, will pay you the highest market price in cash or trade for oggs and chickens. Miss Mamie Moorhead is in Hickory Grove visiting her uncle, Mr. W. J. Moorhead and family. Manly, a little son of Mr. Moor head, lias been critically ill tins week but was better at last accounts. Rev. J. L. Oates went to Sharon Thursday morning to assist Rev. J. S. Grier in his communion service at Sharon A. R. P. church, up to Sabbath, when ho returned and met his appointment, at Hickory, Sabbath day. We are glad to say that Miss Annie Harber has fully recovered trom her recent sickness with lever. She left Friday for Greenville, S. C., where she will spend a day or two with relatives before entering Williamston Female col lege.
