Mr. J. R. Blake, Jr., lecturer
of the State Alliance, delivered
an interesting address of an hour's
length at the Alliance rally at
Seneca on the 4th instant on the
subject, "Lend a Helping Hand."
of which the following is a brief
synopsis:
After expressing his grateful
appreciation of the honor of ad
dressing them, ho congratulated
the audience on the fact. Thai the
occasion which convened them
was held under the auspices oi
the Farmers' Alliance, and that
all classes and professions were
extended a hearty welcome to
commingle together in social in

farmers of Oconee county, who
had been the earliest advocates ot
the order and who had through
all vicissitudes proven trim to its
principles. These principles did |

others, nor had the Alliance
