An ollicial statement is made that in pursuance ol the policy recently outlined before the Railroad Commission of South Carolina regarding the interchange of traffic {between the Southern Railway company and the South Carolina and Georgia Extension Railroad company, there has been a conference between the executive officers of the South Carolina and Georgia Extension Railroad company operating the Ohio River and Charleston railroad and the Southern Railway company, and an understanding has been mutually reached, und-r which the interchange of traffic between the Charleston division of the Southern railway (formerly operated as the South Carolina and Georgia Railway company ), and the South Carolina and Georgia Extension Railroad company will be fully maintained, and a basis for interchanging traffic between the other divisions of the Southern Railway company and the South Carolina and Georgia Extension Railroad company will he inaugurated to the advantage of the South Carolina and (Jeoriga Extension Railroad ^company.
