As yet, however, no one has been elected and the date of the open. ing is not known. There is a large number of children at the factory who are old enough to attend school and the opening of one so convenient to them will be a great advantage to them. It cures coughs, colds, grippe and all throat and lung troubles. McMaster Co. -An Art League has recently been formed in Columbia and Mrs. T. C. Robertson was elected president. This is a new thing for Colnmbia, but it is succeeding admirably, as it could not fail to do under the direction of Mrs. Robertson, who is a woman of great ;executive ability and who is an artist -of such wide reputation. Mrs. Eobert son is a prime mover in all such enter priss and is always successful in what she undertakes. -Just received!I A handsome line -of open and top buggies at ; * -For th first time in seveageas emiu hasbeen offered for the b-~- est county exhibit at the State fair i November and if'suffisient effort is made on the part of the farmers Fair fleld can carrry it ofl This has been al bad for the farmers but in spit o sagaist wichthey ~becoieted that would undoubtedly be as fine and probably finer than any other on exhibition. This would be a great chance to -show the possibilities of Fairfield County. The "Plow Boy Preacher," Rev. J. Einkman, Belle Rive, Ill., says, '-After suffering from Bronchial or ilung trouble for ten years, I was cured - ~ by One Minute Cough Cure. It is all .that is claimed for it and more." McMaster Co. -The members of the-Timrod Asso ciation have not yet succeeded in rais sing the amount of money required for the monument, and they are still anxious to dispose of as many vol umes of the poems as possible in order to increase the sum on hand. The young ladies of the Memminger lims Association of Charleston have offered their services to the asso ciation to assist in the sale of the books and have appointed young ladies to K canvass the city and they hope to give the association great assistance. S -Some citizens of Greenwood, ac cording to the Greenwood Journal, were as badly taken in by the sharpers connected with the Wallace Shows as were some of our people. One man was relieved of $620, but upon realiz ing his loss employed a lawyer to as sist him in recovering the money. '.he show people and iheir property -were arrested and held until the money was returned to its owner. 7Numbers of people lost money here in the same way, but $65 was the largest amount that any one person lost and no one took steps to recover it. -If you scour the world you will -never~ find a remedy equal to One Minute Congb Cure," says Editor Fackler, of the Micanopy, Fla., "Bustler."
