Beaty has had erected a lhandsome Iron stairway and iron balcony on the south of his building, which adds much to the appearance as woll as convenience of the building. -The Lee, Light Infantry, of Ches ter, carried with them on their Wash ington trip 'the old flag carried by the Palmetto Regiment in the Mexican war. It attracted considerable atten tion In Washington. -The Rev. J. Howard Carpenter having taken ili on his way to Louis ville, Ky., has returned home.
