nextin order, Mv. James A. Brice, the
present incumbent, was nominated.

that having already served two tertps

not to meet approval, and, there being
no other names submitted, Mr. 11rico
was unanimously nominated by ac
clanationl amiid much enthusiasm.
Nominations for wardus being
next in order, the following-named
gentlemen were suggested: Dr. T. B.
Madden, James Beaty, W. N. Chan
dler, James Q. Davis, W. G. Jordan,
S . R. Fant, R. M. Iluoy, W. R. Doty,
A. P. Miller, Joseph Groesnhel, D. V.
Walker, J. 11. Cummings and G. A.
White. Messrs. Beaty, Cummings,
.Madden, Davis, Chandler and Jurdan
declined. A vote by ballot was taken,
a majority of all the. votes cast being
necessary to a choice. The following
named gentlemen each received a ina
Jority on the first ballot: U. A. White,
S. R. Fant and W. R. Doty.. A see
o-nd ballot was then had, resulting in
the choice of Mr. Joseph Groeschel.
On motion of Mr. Jno. S. Reynolds
the nominations for wardens were
made unanimous. The meeting then
adjourned.

than increasing in strength, and that
thev would 1mnch prefer to throw their
influence for Edmnunds than for Blaie
or Washiburne. Tihe relations now
with laine, they state, are strained,
while the older Cameron particularly is
opposed to Washburne.
