present incumbent, was nominated.

was unanimously nominated by ac

next in order, the following-named

Madden, James Beaty, W. N. Chan
dler, James Q. Davis, W. G. Jordan,
S . R. Fant, R. M. Iluoy, W. R. Doty,
A. P. Miller, Joseph Groesnhel, D. V.
Walker, J. 11. Cummings and G. A.
White. Messrs. Beaty, Cummings,
.Madden, Davis, Chandler and Jurdan
declined. A vote by ballot was taken,
a majority of all the. votes cast being
necessary to a choice. The following
named gentlemen each received a ina

o-nd ballot was then had, resulting in
the choice of Mr. Joseph Groeschel.
On motion of Mr. Jno. S. Reynolds
the nominations for wardens were
