The company is a very clever one and its personnel is made up of a number of well known burnt) cork and vaudeville performh ers. A big feature is the noon-day street parade, which is both new and novel. Dr. J. F. Garrett has moved into his handsome new office on Fred erick street, over the Battery. In this nuw home the doctor has what is, perhaps, on of the handsomest dental parlors to be found in this sec tion. Dr. Garrett is well and favor ably known in and about Gaffney. He is an old standby, so to speak: one of the staid and stable business men of the community, a man who by his unassuming mam$er and gentle die- meanor, has won the affections of all who know Jiim. The Ledger wishes him continued success. A whitai boy about sixteen years of age was before Mayor Gaffney yesterday morning on the charge of fighting. The scrapping sefmed to have taken place at the Limestone Street Methodist church on Friday evening while services were in pro gress. The scrap must have been a warm one as rocks were bsought into plav and one threatened to cut the others head off with a knife. One of of the combatants appeared, the other forfeting his bond. Delicious refreshments were daintly served by the Misses Sarratt. The meeting was a business one combined with a social one to a certain extent. It was tha regular meeting for the election of officers. The following officers were elected: Miss Winnie Davenpart, president; Miss Freeman Garrett, vice- president; Miss Stella Hamilton, secretary; Miss Wilma Gaffney, treasurer.
