Nov. 21-24 pd. A Good Presentation of “The Sign of the Four." In all probability the performance given Saturday night at the Star Theatre was the best seen here in years. The play was “The Sign of the Four,” one of Sir A. Conan Doyle’s detective stories, with Sam B. Hardy as Sher lock Holmes. The entire company, without exception, played their parts to perfection, in fact it is seldom that such a well balanced and capable company is seen outside of metropoli tan cities. In particular Miss Chris tie, “Bessie,” may be mentioned as anpcially good. Mr. Hutchinson, as P.\ Watson and Mr. Lasher as Jo. athan Small, the wooden legged man, may also be mentioned for spe cial notice. The company is under the manage ment of Mr. Chas. B. Hood. Music at Limestone. The Schubert String Quartette, of Boston, gave a concert in the audi torium at Limestone College Saturday night.
