Taking
Springtime is picture-
taking time. It is the
time when nature is
at her best. If you
have never taken pic
tures you should be
gin right now. Don't
let another season
pass without the en-
joymet that a good
camera affords.
We handle the
Eastman Kodaks
the most highly per
fect cameras upon the
market. Come in and
let us explain them
to you and quote you
some prices. In photo
supplies we have
everything that you
will ever need.

Is' Economy
an Object
to You?
Economy, at the expense of
quality, is extravagance. The
“ Howard” is a piano of quali
ty, but economy in its con
struction is practiced by elimi
nating costly ornamentation.
It is modest, but refined; plain,
but solid and reliable. Fully
warranted by us.

SHORT LOCALS.
The weather report for todajr (Fri
day) is: “Showers.”
Worth Little has had his handsome
residence on Rutledge avenue re
painted in a pretty color, which adds
greatly to its appearance.
We learn that the Whittaker Mills at
Blacksburg have started up again af-
| ter a cessation of nearly three weeks,
owing to the bursting of the cylinder.
There has been “nothing doing” at
the mayor’s court since Monday morn
ing—four whole days without even a
plain drunk or “disorderly!” Truly,
Gaffney seems to be on the up grade!
There was no preaching at the Bu
ford Street Methodist church Sunday
on account of the absence of the pas-
ton, Rev. J. M. Steadman, who was
called away by the death of Mrs.
Steadman’s mother.
Several dogs have been poisoned
in the city during the last two or three
weeks. Who has been doing the “dos
ing act” is not known to the public.
Those who have valuable dogs would
better keep them at home, and not let
them run loose about the city.
J. R. Reason, who was very serious
ly burned while at Henrietta in Janu- j
ary, returned to Gaffney Wednesday.!
His condition was very critical and
his friends are glad to know that:
he survived the painful ordeal and is
able to he out upon the streets again.
Will Martin, of Blacksburg, an em
ployee of the Southern Railway Com- j
pany, had the misfortune of getting
his hand mashed while coupling cars
on the yard at this place Wednesday, j
The company’s physician, Dr. S. B.!
Crawley, treated the wound and it is ;
not thought that he will lose his hand.

Marriage in the County.
Tuesday afternoon at one o’clock
Mr. M. A. Littlejohn, of Pacolet, and
Miss Carrie Clary, of Macedonia, were
joined in marriage. The ceremony
was performed by Rev. F. C. Hickson
at the home of the bride’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Clary, in the pres
ence of only a few friends of the two

Immediately after the ceremony the

These young people are of the coun

We know that to ever so many of our customers there are clothes which apparently contain
the points of excellence of ours, and [which cost less money. But it generally takes
but a short experience to disillusion one of the “bloom” of the cheaper suits.
There is something of the detective in our work. Looking to the tailor
ing to see exaction complied with, exemplyfying new styles every
season. Even just a glance at our splendid stock will
suggest a clothes idea not now in your mind. In
our Clothing department we have left no
stone unturned to make our Spring showing notable
for its completeness, and variety in neatness and styles.
The EFF-EFF double-breasted Sacks are absolutely correct in
every detail cf fashion. The single-breasted Sack, another of EFF-EFF
smart fashions, is quite as distinctive as the other styles shown. Fashion au
thorities disclose that this is to be a Gray season in Men’s attire. We have them in all the
new shades and styles. Suits from $2.50 to $25.00. New Easter Ties just in. Come and see.
