National Flag Party.
Friday evening, Feb. 24th, Mrs. Will
Wilkins entertained her friends with
a “National Flag” party.
The unique invitations issued we.e
an assurance of something new and
original.
The guests were met in the hall by
the hostess, assisted by Mrs. E. T.
Wilkins, who conducted them to the
punch bowl, presided over by Miss

numerous Hags artistically arranged.
From the dining room by Mrs. Geo.

red, white and blue ribbons among
many “stars and stripes.” From the
chandelier hung a basket filled with
national colored boom crackers. It
was after a tempting salad course
that each was asked to “pop a crack
er” and decorate herself with the con
tents. After many booms everyone
wore a gorgeous tissue paper cap and
whistles and rattles were sounded.
This proved the merriest part of the
evening.
When quiet reigned, cake and
colored ices surmounted by flag pins
(souvenirs of the evening) were
served, after which all departed for
home feeling “a merry heart goes
away.”

A door to sin and grief and shame
A bar to hope, a bar to prayer,
