The feature of the show was the famous Gloss brothers in their posturing and Roman bar act. The comedy work of Mr. Chas. Milton was exceptionally clever. The singing of Mr. Walter Wolf, basso, was meritious, as was also that of Mr. Joe McAullen, the tenor. The show closed with a clever comedy act entitled “The Clown’s Troubles,” by Messrs. Her, Burke and McDonald. Altogether the show was “tip-top,” and if Mr. Coburn condescends to visit Gaffney in the future with the Great Barlow Minstrels he should be greeted by a packed house. Happy Hooligan. There is an abundance of mirth, music, beauty and jollity in “Happy Hooligan,” which is announced as the attraction at the Star Theatre i next Monday night. It is altogether likely almost every one knows that the farce comedy “Happy Hooligan” is based, to a considerable degree, up on the mythical doings and adven tures of Mr. F. Opper’s genial hobo, cartooned so effectively in the New York Journal and the other paper of the Hearst syndicate. Taking some of these adventures as a ground plan, Mr. Frank Dumont has built up an exceedingly clever farce comedy, ad mirably suited to spectacular display, a quality that the management in sisted upon, as it was determined at A ‘ -v.-" ” 7i ;i- £* .v W.
