Bad Taste in the Mouth I \\ [1 WOMEN AND SOCIETY. IA11 communications to this column should be addressed to P. O. Box.iKM. I This very novel coat is suitable for either velvet or peau de sole, and re calls some of the portraits of earlier days. The deep collar, which may almost be called a cape, is edged with Vandyck pointed Irish crochet lace, and ihe coat, which is here made of velvet, is ornamented with straps of peau de sole stitched with Cortlcelli stitching silk and i« further de corated by smill buttons and dainty bowknots. When you get up in the morning with a coated tongue and a bad taste in the mouth, you may or may not be seri ously ill, but if there is any disease going, your system is just right to catch it. We know what you think— first you are half persuaded to try Vinol, and then you say to yourself: “ That’s the same story all the medicines tell; I’ve heard it before.” But Vinol is not like other medicines. If it were, we shouldn’t be talking about it in any special way. If you will regulate your bowels with Vinlax and take Vinol to improve your diges tion and assimilation of food, these troubles, with the head ache, “ liver complaint,” neu ralgia, rheumatic pains, and nerve troubles will disappear as by magic. .. , , \ We pay back the money if it doesn’t help you. The yoke and the plait effect remains, the plaits in this instance being simula ted and on the fronts reaching to the belt, while in back the plait-shaped piece is very wide where it joins the yoke, then narrows to the waist and widens a trifle againg on the basque. The yoke is cut with poicts and adorned with buttons apparently fastening the nelt on either side of the front. The revers, collar and cuffs, are of plaid cloth. Helen Brohawn, Addie McArthur, Agnes Littlejohn and Myrtle Gaffney, The reception parlor presented a fairy-like grotto; pink candles shed their dim radiance over green foliage and pink carnations, making the whole seem as if.the fairies wer* ready for their midnight revels. The effect j was really inspiring. Punch was served by dainty hands, and then the dining hall was next in order, where a most delicious four- course luncheon was served. The color scheme was pink and was car ried out in every detail. When the ladies departed it was with the regret that life could not ever be thus. The invited guests were: Mesdames O. S Kendrick, T.
