You can wear them open or closed as pre ferred. Washable suits made in shirtwaist style make a feature of the season’s styles, and are much worn, made from different material, from the heavy linen canvass to dainty dimity. For dressy gowns crepe de chine and other thin clinging materials will be the most used, and of course the foulard silk. The black grena dines are especially pretty this sea son, and they make a very stylish and dressy gown. The Revival Continue*. The revival meeting at the Chero kee Avenue Baptist church ia quite a spiritual feast for the large congre gations who daily and nightly listen to the excellent and soul-refreshing sermons of Rev. D. P. Montgomery, who is conducting the meeting. The services will continue for an other week, and maybe longer. The program as arranged for Sun day is as follows: At 10 o’clock a. m., special services for children; preaching at 11 a. m.; at 3 :80 p. m., a lecture at the court house ior mer and boys only, and preaching again at 8. p. m. The lecture at the court house will be an unusually interesting one and every man and boy in the city is urged to attend it. Rev. Montgomery is a magnetic speaker ana never fails to charm his hearers, and you will learn something very much to your interest if you hear him Sunday. An KiikIisIi Note in the City. Wagennr Day at the KxpoMltlou. Thursday, the 22nd of May, has been set apart as Wagener Day at the South Carolina and West Indian Exposicion in Charleston. The special exercises on that day will be in honor of President F. W. Wagener, of the Exposition company, who has con tributed so much toward the ultimate success of the Exposition and its far- reaching results. The program on “Wagener Day” will consist of a tournament where prizes will be distributed, athletic performances', German amusements and fine running and trotting race*.
