Taken in Time
Hood’s Sarsaparilla has achieved
great success in warding off sickness
which, if allowed to progress, would
have undermined the whole system
anH given disease a strong foothold to
cause much suffering and even
threaten death. Hood’s Sarsaparilla
has done all this and even more. It
has been taken In thousands of eases
which were thought to be incurable,
and after a fair trial has effected won
derful cures, bringing health,
strength and joy to the afflicted.
Another important point about
Hood’s Sarsaparila is that its cures
are permanent, because they start
from the solid foundation of purifed,
vitalized and enriched blood. But
it is not what we say but what Hood’s
Sarsaparilla does that tells the story.

An Agreement for Gaif-

Mr. N. II. Littlejohn ni d Mr. W.

the town council of Gaffney, S. C.
After a conference between J. (,}.
Little and N. II. Littlejohn yesterday
afternoon it was mutually agreed for
Mr. Littlejohn t > resign and Mr.

on until after Tut: Lt:!>';::i: had

mature consideration. They both
thought it would he llie best policy
to advance the interests of Gaffney.
This is n patriotic move on tho
part of both Mr. LUtleiidin and Mr.
Little. They both make concessions
for which they should lie commended.
They both do this in order that the
best interests of Gaffney might bo
subserved.
Tut: Lkhuku does not compliment
these gentlemen upon their action to
incur their favor, as some may think,
but because it is broad-minded and
generous enough to concede that even
if a man acts indecent towards it he
may do so in a passion caused by

courage to do a manly act.
