members in the courts during the week
for violating the Sabbath day, which
they construe to mean Saturday, and

Atlanta, Jvly 4.—The railroads de

appeal to the interstate commerce com
mission. The fruit growers made a
case last week before the Georgia rail
road commission, and the case was
argued before that body. It, however,
had no authority’ to enforce any ruling
on interstate business and all it could
do was to make a recommendation
that the rates be reduced. The rail
road men said that they could not af
ford to give the rates and careful ser
vice to fruit demand and the si uppers
for no less rates than they have been
charging.
