S. <'.. in Gounei! as sembled, and hy tin authority of the same. Sec. 1. That, to meet and defray the ordinary current expenses of said town for the ensuing municipal year, beginning March 5th. ISi»5, there shall he levied and collected a tax of Sixty (tilt) cents on every hundred dollars of the value of all the real es tate and personal properly lying and being within the corporate lin ts of said town, real and personal property of Churches, Cemeteries, Schools, Colleges, Associations and i’uhlic Li braries excepted. See. 2. That all pet sons owning or having control of property, both real estate and personal property, except such as is exempt hy law and exist ing town ordinances, within the cor porate limits of said town, are hereby required to ass*.- - the same, or have the same assessed rendering it in un der oath. to the Clerk of said Town Council on or before the first day of February, A. 1>. 1895. Si:<'. 5J. That the same penalty as is now imposed by law tor failing to render in and assess property for state and eounty purposes shall be imposed upon all property of said town subject to assessment and taxa tion that shall not he rendered in and assessed in accordance with Section two (2) of this ordinance. St;<'. 1. That all taxes assessed and ordered collected under I his ordinance shall he paid to the Clerk of the Town Couneil. or to such other per son as may he appointed for that pur pose, during the month of February 1895, and until the first Tuesday in March thereafter; and upon failure to make payment of the same us here in required, the person or persons so in default shall he subject to the pen alties and costs provided hy law for failure to pay the general State and County Taxes; and the same to he enforced by order of the Intendent or said Town Couneil, for t he use of said town.
