Berlin, February 20.—The offictaT' gazette to-day pnblishes the comiunnka-.. tion of Priace Bismarck to Herr von Eisendecker directing the return to the American House of Representatives of its resolutions of coadoieace at the death of Herr Lasker. It is (lilted February 0th, and is as follows: “Any recognition in a foreign country of the personal qualities of a German, f especially when mode by so important a body as the House of Representatives, is gratifying to our national feelings. I should have gratefully accepted the Com munication made by Minister Sargent apd should have asked the Emperor to em power me to present it to the Reichstag, if the resolutions had not contained an opinion regarding the object and effect of Herr Lasker's political activity which was opposed to my convictions. Accord ing to my experience I cannot recognize the opinion as one which events I have witnessed would justify. I should not venture to oiqtosc my judgment to the opinion of such an illustrious body as the House of Representatives if Lhad not, by more than thirty years active participa-' tion in the internal policy of Germany, gained an experience which justified me in attaching certain value to my judg ment in questions of home affairs. I can not determine to ask the Emperor for the necessary power to communicate the resolutions to Reichstag because I should have officially to advocate Indore the Emperor an opinion which I cannot re cognize as correct.” The action of Bismarck continues to excite much comment. The friends of the deceased statesman in the Reichstag propose to demand-of Bismarek an cx- plauution of his course. London, February 20.—Advices from Suakim represent that differences among the sheikhs of the rebel tribes as to whether an attack' should be made on. Suakim Indore the arrival of the English troops have led to discontent in Osman Digma’s^ camp. Some of the sheikhs who urged an - immediate attack on Suakim now hold aloof from the force concentrated around Toknr. General Graham, with a full comple ment of foifcea, is now timed to reach Suakim on Sunday next and advance on Toknr on Tuesday. This leaves eight days still Indore relief is possible.
