The Methodist are “holding t be fort ”
at Bmnaker’s camp-ground this week.
An interesting m eting is reported.
Mr. S. Liehman, the “menhanf
ptiuce” of Graham’s, has just com
pleted a new store on Church street,
and filled it with choice goods of every
desctlptipD.
_ The new Town Council wore sworn
into office on the 1st Inst. They con
sist of S. Liebrnan, lut ndant; W. H.
VVrotoD, P. H. Rickenbacker, J. W.
Freeman and Hance Mims, Wardens.
To give some Idea of the quantity
of business" done Ih Grahams, I will
simply say that it takes our efficient
marshal a great part of his time to
keep pedestrians irora blockading the
sidewalks.
The subject for the next debate
(Friday, 19th Inst.) is, “Resolved, that
a married life is preferable to
single one.” . Come one* come all,
and hear this Important subject dis
cussed [The editor of The People
hopes to be present, j .
