CREECH Edward Creech, well known young white man of this county, was killed Friday night while ’possum hunting near his home in the Colston section, when a tree fell upon him. Dr. L. A. Hartzog, of OUr, was summoned st once, but he die^i before a complete exambiaifon could be made of his injury. In company with several others of the community young Ceerch went ’possum hunting Friday night. About 10 o’clock they treed a ’possum, and Creech was holding the dogs while the others cut the tree down. Just be fore the tree feU, Creech ran acrcps its path just in time for it to strike him. The tree was lifted from his body at once, but it was found that hi s neck had been broken. The remains of Mr. Creech, who was about 29 years of age, were bur led Saturday jaftdmoon aft Spring- town church, of which he was a member. He leaves a widow and tyur small children.—Bamberg Herald.
