Joe Sousa and Antonio Joseph, Por tuguese fishermen, reported Just such an adventure when they arrived here recently on the schooner Angle B Watson. Believe it or not, here’s their story: They had a halibut rigout and were on the standing part of the gear when It began to haul harder than usual. Fifty fathoms of line was brought uf and colled down, and with the hook end loomed the head of a humpback whale. The whale towed the d<!rj about a quarter of a mile. All such were to lend friendly assistance with silver, gold and beasts. 2. The response to Cyrus’ proclama tion (vv. 5, C).
