The revival acrvicea which began in the Barnwell Baptist Church on October 2nd, came to a cloae on the 13th. In the opinion of many Barn well ptKtple it was the best revival held here in many years. Anyone who knows the people bf the county could Mt any night aervica see in the congregation members of churches from Williston to Bamberg and frem Dunbarton to Olar. This, the first revival held in the large auditorium taxed its capacity to such an extent that there wasn’t room at times to place another chair. People unable to find seats stood in the vestibule during services. The business houses and churches in Barnwell gave in cooperation and attendance a splen did example of the Barnwell spirit. high pressure and spectacular meth ods so often used, the meeting was marked by a high spiritual note, as well as intensely practical methods. Mr. Miller’s sermons were very prac tical and highly enjoyed, while the leadership in singing by his brother was very effective. In many respects the meeting ac complished many excellent reauita. One of its^bmefits was that it became a melting pot in which people from various sections of the counties and churches were fused into a common spiritual aim. It should prove a last ing, material and spiritual benefit to the religious life of Barnwell, its various churches, as well as -to the church in which it was held. In ad dition to accessions to other churches, the Barnwell Baptist Church received by letter and baptisms '62 additions FINANCIAL STATEMENT OF TOWN OF BARNWELL FOR QUARTER ENDING SEPTEMBER 36. 1927. -I —ii July 1—Balance on hand in Bank $194 41 RECEIPTS Fines collected in July, - $59.00 Business Licenses collected in July 24.50 .
