Blaokville, July 26.—Mrs, . Etippu
Kennedy, aged 70, died Friday at the
home of her son-in-law add daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Bates after a long
illness. Her body waf laid to rest
Saturday morning in the- Rlackville
cemetery, thp Rev. L. H. Miller con
ducting the funeral services. r-'
Mrs. Kennedy had not lived in
Blackville. very long, having recently
come here to live with her daughter,
Mrs. Bates, but she made many
friends-here who are-gneved over her
death. .
Before her marriage shejRas M'*s
Emma Hickson and was raised in the
Fairfax section of Barnwell County,
but had been a resident of Williston
for a good many years. She is sur
vived by two sons,* Messrs. Grover
and Tillman Kennedy, and one daugh
ter, Mrs.* Kate Kennedy Bates.

week. Capt. Hancock is well known
as a preacher throughout the slate,
and has many friends and followers

several meetings heretofore at Cal
vary and other churches in this sec

University hospital, in Augusta, oa

know that she is doing nicely.
