Ralph Martin, son of Jerome Mar tin had quite u trilling experience Saturday night. He went to sleep while at the local theatre, and was locked up in the building. He waked and gave a pretty strong alarm, which was heard by Jimmie Buist, who was passing, Jimmie secured company for Ralph (on the outside) an,d went for the manager, M. P. Fanning^ to un lock the door. This is the second time recently little boys have gone to sleep in the theatre. Not long ago, Lee Franklin Black took a long nap there after the building was locked and a searching party had to go to the manager to turn him out. Mrs. Lillian Lindley McKie, of Hutchinson, Kansas, shot and fatally wounded her husband, George A. Mc Kie, formerly of Edgefield,' on an Augusta street Friday afternoon. Domestic trdbble is aaid to have been the cause of the tragedy. McKie, who was sitting in his automobile, which was parked by the curb, wherf shot by his wife, died in a hospital a few hours’later. We will pump all water used into the elevated tank using the town’s equipment for 6 cents per thousand gallons. Or 3rd. We will operate the water system for the city furnishing the town free all water used for sewer age system and all fire hydrant ser vice and furnish water consumers on a scale of rates ten percent less than present water rates now charged, with the understanding that in case the town so desires, we will turn the water system back to the town at any time on six months’ notice. We guarantee to keep and main tain the pumps in proper condi tion and we guarantee that using the present town equipment and any additional equipment that the town may from time to time see fit to install to furnish at all times an adequate supply of water.
