No person shall belong to any club or vote in any primary unless he has Rv* . a > 1; M ir'A Mir- ■*' WUHston, May 29.—The closing exercises of the Williston grammar school and the Williston-Elko high school were concluded here last night. The exercises commenced last Sun day when the Dr. E. R. Murchison, pastor of the Willishm Presbyterian church, delivered the commencement semen to the graduates at the high school auditorium. Excellent music . was furnished by the combined choir? of the vtarious churches under the direction of Mrs. E. W. Black, who presided at the piano. On Tuesday evening, the grammer school class presented an unusual program consisting of numerous skits and musical numbers. On this even- mg, the successful graduates of the seventh grade grammar school were presented with certificates of admis sion into the high school. The salutatory was delivered by Selwyn Thompson, the class history by Marvin Self, Jr., and the valedic tory by Verna Eaves, 16 of the class deceived certificates os follows: William Edwin Toole, Marvin Self, Jr„ Selwyn Thompson, Cecil Quottlc- baum, Verna Eaves, Wiley Trotti, Mary Moreley, Maggie Bates, Elma flrubbs, Mertin Still, Marvin Johnson, Charles Richardson, Sidney Hair, Hin ton Givens, James Howard Bell, and Simmie Folk. On Wednesday evening, the. gradu ating class of the Williston-Elko high school delighted a Large audience with the presentation of the well-known play, “Daddy Long-Legs.” The play was excellently prmented, the cast well chosen and a bly directed. The huge auditorium was filled to capaci ty, there being about SfiO people present. The exercises were concludc.d . on Thursday evening with an excellent address by Hon. G. ( reft Williams, of Columbia, who spoke on “The Need of Education." This program was in- terspersed with musical selections by the Williston-Dejimark orchestra and songs by the senior class, the program was concluded by the de livery of diplomas by Supt. M. B. Stallings', Harold Woodward, Joel Kennedy, Margaret Thompson, Eliza beth Stallings Dolores Richardson, Chlothilde Weeks, Edith Bell, Clyde Creech, Maggie 1 Hair and George Dyson.
