By virtue of the. authority vested irt me as President of the Barnwell Municipal Democratic Club, I hereby give notice: That the enrollment book will be opened at the Best Pharmacy on Thursday, April 29th, 1926, and will remain open until Monday, May 31st, 1926. The enrollment committee shall consist of 0. H. Best, M. C. Best and P. W. Price. Those entitled to en roll shall write their names, giving their age and residence. The qualification for voting shall be as follows: Vofer shall be a white V Democrat, twenty-one years of age, or shall become so before the succeed ing general election. They shall be citizens of the United Statees and of t^is State. They shall also, have re sided in the. State two years and in the county six months prior to the succeeding general' election, and in the club district sixty days prior to ^ the first primary, following their offer to enroll: Provided, That public school teachers and ministers of the gospel in charge of a regular organ ized church shall be exempt from the provisions of this section as to Resi dence, if otherwise qualified. All candidates shall be required to file their pledge and pay assessment to G. W. Manville, secretary, on or before 12 o’clock noon, ^Monday, May 31st, 1926, and shall publish their card in The Barnwell People-Sentinel at least two issues proceeding the first primary.
