After a wait of over a month, lov- vrs of musical comedy will welcome to our city the coming of Clark’s Ross’ production, OH! OH! NURSE,” which comes to the Vamp Theatre for one night, Friday, February 19th, performance beginning at 8:30. The story is by (Jeorge E. Stod dard, who will be remAnbercd for his popular “Listen Lester,” “Go Go" and If You Were Rolling in Wealth There’s no reason why you should gamble in trying to I.ocate “the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.” That’s just what a lot of people all over the country are doing in flocking to our neighboring State—Florida. A "Boom" is not a good thing for any country; what we want is natural growth on a substantial basis. A boom is where people go crazy and values aie inflated; enterprises ( ? t spring up over night and go away about as quickly \ boom i< an explosion of fa Ise e eonomy. There is a east of Broadwiy favor ites including that ejujruttating^un* ny comedian, Fred Heider, and the greatest dancing chorus in America. In his criticism in the New York “Daily Americah” of. Friday, Decem ber Uth, 1925, Alan Dale said: “If I could only dance a review of “Oh! Oh! Nurse” at .rthe Cosmopolitan Theatre, I’d be able to iriake a 'much better job of it than by typewriter. But I can’t dance—I mean dance— be cause dancing can’t be published and every reviewer must make a few staid remarks per infy. Such is his life.” “It is a gently frolicsome and t\t r - tilant show, jolly and good to look at. It is primarily a dancing show and every human on the stage seems to have had some sort of tcrpsifchor- ean kink. It is a sort of dance mania served up daintily enough. “Fred Heider, who will be remem bered as the voluble night clerk in “Listen Lester”, which amused New Yorkers at the Knickerbocker Thea tre for over a year, has lost none of his drollness. He has a sort of per suasive, unctuous personality that is superior to the gritty self assurance of many of our musical comedy ‘high lights.’ “The chorus in the offering is good looking and dancitive. There were a couple of bobbed blondes who were most picturesque I thought. They had those shiny bobs that seem to corruscate and glitter. “The music by Carlo and Sanders is way above the average. It is tin- klesorm* and provocative. Ellenton News. Ellenton, Feb. 6.—Mrs. Mack Wal- ; ton and Mrs. Frank Bush were vis itors in Augusta last week.
