Birthday Celebration We had the pleasure of attending a birthday dinner and family reunion at the home of Richard Fortner, near Pleasant Grove, Sunday, June 24, that date being Mr. Fortner's 78th birthday. A large number, composed of children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends of Mr. Fortner were present, and the occasion was a delightful one. At noon a long table was set out of Idoors in a pretty grove just back of Mr. Fortner's residence, loaded with all manner of tempting viands. Brief ad t dresses were delivered by Messrs. J. M. s Fortner of Greenville and W. W. Jolly of Pendleton; and then all were invited to help themselves-and say, didn't we t tell you it was an enjoyable occasion? u In the afternoon we were entertained with some delightful music until all too soon, other duties pressing, we had to - disband and go our several ways. How e ever, we hope God may continue to bless both Mr. and Mrs. Fortner with good health and that they both may a celebrate many more birthdays. L. C. Mrs. B.
