Boggs-Anthony One of the most beautiful weddings in the history of Pickens was that of Miss Maka Boggs and Mr. Robert An thqpy,. which was solemnized Tuesday evening at 8.80 o'clock in the Pickens Methodist church. The color scheme of green and white evasartistically carried out in the deco rations. Pefore the wedding party entered Mrs. C. L. Hester beautifully sang "At Dawning" and "Oh, Promise Me," with violin accompaniment, after which, to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, the wedding party slowly advanced to the altar. First eame the ushers-Messrs. Mack Chris topher, A. .1. Boggs, Ralph Hester and Earle Morris. Then followed six brides njaids-Misses Burns of Laurens, Cun ningham of Greer, Elizabeth Algood of Williamston, Mattie Finley, Nellie Grandy and Lorena Taylor of Piclens, with six groomsmen Messrs. Earle Seaborn, Hagood Bruce, Bertran Por ter, Dwight Attaway, Sam Craig and Vincent Hamilton. Following these came the ring-bearer, Master Frank Partridge, carrying the ring in the heart of a large Easter lily, and the flower girl, little Miss Mary Gravley, beautifully dressed in pink, carrying a pink basket filled withsweet peas. Then came the bride, who was lovely in her wedding gown of white satin with crystal trimmings. She car. ried a beautiful bouquet of bride's roses. With her was her maid of honor, Miss Ina Boggs, becomingly attired in pink crepe de chine and carrying pink roses. Down the opposite aisle the groom came with his best man, Mr. Ernest Alexander. One of the most beautiful features of the wedding was the giving away of the bride by her grandmother, Mrs. Aaron Bogg, who is in her 88th year of life. During the ceremony Oliver Boggs, with a piano accompaniment by Miss Meda Boggs, softly played "To a Wild Rose," by McDowell. The bridesmaids were becomingly gowned in pink crepe de chine and car ried bouquets with pink ribbons.: wlyso5 TIhe ceremony was periformedC~ by the bi'ide's pastor, Dr. 1). M. Ramsay, of Greenville, assisted by Rev.;L. E. Wig ginis, pastor of the Methodist church.
