C., DECEMBER 11, 1913 Corn Show Post poned--Dec. 20 For some reason or other Clemson College failed to send a judge for the corn show at Pick ens last Saturday, and the show was postponed until Saturday, December 20. There will also be a lecture on selecting seed and grading. corn.. The show will begin.at 10:30 o'clock and will be held in the court house. A large crowd of both men and boys-Were on hand for thd show, and much interest was shown. There' were twenty-nine ex hibits of ten ears each and there is some fine corn In the exhibits. The corn and reports were rned over to Supt. Hallum d Demonstrator Bowen, and will care for them until Dec 20th and have them on hand t:he show. Everybody in Pickens county Is invited to be at the court house on the day of -the show to see the exhib)ts and learn something about judging corn. Members of the boys' and men's clubs are especially urged to be present, whether you sent in your reports or not. Pickens Route 4. 'Dear Editor: Health in this community is very good at present. Most of the farmers are in a hurry to finish up their fall work.
