E-erd a4 PIchens Fustoffice as Second Cla Kill Katter TO THE PUBLIC. Wiyissue of The Senti e yoon as editor and bI tigimanage . This : isnade imperative necessary on:account of mVronal-busi ness matters, as i d not do justice to my priva terests and-thenewspaper both. . en I took charge nearly ayear n I thought it would be fun to ed it the paper, but soon found the duties so exacting as to require more time than I had to give to it without too great personal sacrifice. During the time I have had charge, the paper has increased in circulation, the advertising patronage has been good, and a n y favorable comments haird. That I have made mis takbs I freely confess, but,I hay'endeavored to be sincere rSO"hdW -ionest. Some have dis agreed with me, especially in political matters, but this is their right and is no reason why we. should not still be friends. Doubtless some things have been said 'which would have been better had they not been said, but it is human to err. If I have said or done anything to cause hard feelings or to wound one In any way and they milknow it, I will cheer fu'ngly do all I can to right it and restore friendship and good feeling. I co-vet the good wyill and Ifriendship of all the people, and heartily imp'ore the forgiveness of any, who, for any- reason ,may be offended. The paper passes into the hands of a new editor and man agement with this issue. For *reasons W'hich cannot now be given, the names will not be -made known until next week when annoucement will be - made. But they are competent and trustworthy men and are fully equipped to edit and man age successfully this or any other paper. I heartily comn mend them to the public and ask for that liberal support which 'I know they will merit and :justly deserve. They, I know will continue to improve the plant and news service and *give the people a better paper -than I have. The people of the county have been very liberal in their support of the paper. *Few in the county can afford SeThe Sentinel. It gives the Sbate and county news as fully as we are able to handle it. It does most of the legal *advertising, and to keep in touch with the busidess social, politi cal and other affairs of the coun ty the people must read The Sentinel. And now in conclusion: With malice toward none, but good will for all I lay down my pen as editor and say good-bye. Respectfully, C. E. Robinson.
