He delivered a splendid address' on fruit growing and measures to bc used In treating fruit diseases. Prof. H.- W. Darre professor of botany at Clemson college, spoke on the disease; of cotton. He discuss ed eradication methods and outlined plans for eliminating diseases in cot - ton and thc best method to handle thc boll weevil, which ia now traversing in this direction. Miss Carrie II ?te, of Columbia, State superintendent of rural schools, made a charming address In which she discussed thc girls' clubs and thc domestic sciencp work. Prof. W. It.
