Pauline" ST PLACE IN ANDERSON RANKS WITH VERY BEST Coca-Cola Roster Gives This City Place High Up in List of Cities In. Many Southern States Some people In the United States might claim that they never heard of Anderson, and some might he able to prove this statement, but such a con dition uf affairs is being rectified as speedily as time will permit. Ander son is daily becoming better and bel ter known. Captain Ralph J. Ramer, manager of the Anderson branch ol the Coca Cola bottling company yesterday re- ! celved the roster from this company, on which is to be found the leading city of the Southern Statee and the; leader of this particular division. This is known ; the Sou:neas:o'.-a Division ' and is t.omposed of th? States of 'North .Carolina. South Caro- ' lina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mis sissippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklaho ma and Texas. Of the hundreds and hundreds of Coen-Cola pianti in all ! these cities Anderson takes tne ra | of being 34th in point of the number o? gallons of Coca-Cola sold for the; first six months in 1914. The average reader will not get the proper conccp- I tion of what this means un cil he con siders the dozens and dozens of cities in the States named, with two and three times more population than An derson ahead of New Orleans, ahead, of Charleston, ahead of Vtckeburg, and ahead of som? of the principal cit ies.in the Southern states. There aro 377 plaats on the rostor and that An derson could rank 34th Is proof con clusive of two facts; one is diat Capt. Ramer is oa the job ho: day and night and the other is that.Anderson is growing steadily. Three and one half years ago when the present owners of tue Anderson Ccca-Cola plant bought tho local plant, Anderson stood in position 84, but after Captain Rainer assumed the charge this condition did not long ex ist. Another fact to bo considered is that the Anderson territory consists of merely a portion of Andereon coun ty, a ntrlp of Abbeville county and a small portion of Oconee county. Capt. Ramer raya that he feels proud of ,thle standing and his. friends agree with l-im tbat be has every right-to be satisfied.'
