Thc Heed Miller concert, which is to be given In the Anderson college auditorium on Mareil 9, is exciting considerable interest among the mu fle lovers of thc city. King of Townvllle spent a few hours In Anderson yesterday, and his many friends here were glad to see the remarkable improvement in his condition. Mr. King had been in 111 health for some time, and went to Florida, from which state he has Just returned. Ho says that hts stay there did him untold good and that he feels almost like a new man. When the case for carrying a pistol was called against the negro yester day no one appeared to prosecute and on motion of attorneys for the defendant the magistrate dismissed this case and Walke-* was a free man. However, very few minutes had elapsed before he was again taken in charge, and this time on a -much more serious charge. It is said that Bob Walker, the de fendant, let Pink Brown have a Distal nnd advised Pink to go and kill Gus Brown. This Pink Brown did, los ing his own life in the difficulty. , The complaint against Walker al leges that he did incite the negro. Pink Brown, to commit tho act, and that he ls therefore an accessory bo* fore the fj?.ct. The preliminary hear ing in the case will be called in mag istrate's court this afternoon at 3 o'clock, and considerable interest will surround the outcome of this Investi gation.
