L. Hendricks, who lives near Field, lost a valuable horse last week. -Mrs. Reese Bowen, who lives about four miles east of town is quite sick. The base ball team here should get up some games with the clubs of other towns, -Miss Kate Folgor, of Gaffnov, is visiting relatives in and around Pickens this week. -Your attention is invited to the advertisement of Dr. L. G. Clayton, of Central. -B. D. Stewart left Pickens last week for Greenville where he will go into business. -The United States has a loss percentago of blind people than any country in the world. 4 -W. T. C. Thornley's store, the buggy striking a tree noar the store, tear ing up two wvhe.ls and breaking the shalves. The negro jumped out, and was not hurt. Notice.
