S. priso noers discovered him and informod Sheriff McDaniel. Mr. Lance was chained to the floor to await the arrival of the penitentiary gtiard. Last November J. H. Newton, of this place, went to Montgomery, Ala.. prepared a bill stnd had it in troduced in the legislature to givo him, W. A. Clyde, C. T. Martin, B. D. Stewart of Pickens county, J. D. Barron, ex-Soc. of Stato, of Ala., and W. R. Green, of Mont gomery, a charter under tho name of The Farmers' Mutual Insurance Association of Alabama. The bill passed the 18th of February, an(d on the 1st of March Massrs. New ton an-I Martin went to Montgom cry. The company organized by Olecting J. D. Barron, Pres.; C. T. Martin Vice-Pres.; J. H-.
