Waddy MolakI, of North Caro lina, is visiting his uncle, W. T. MoFall. James Smith is now running the Hollingsworth livery stables in Liverty. John Welborn, of Oconee co.n tv, visited his brothers near town last week. Robert Robinson, of Liberty visited his brother, C. E. Robinson, Esq., Friday. Mrs. Julia A. Smith, of Liberty, who has been critically ill, is il proving slowly. Miss Aurie Hollingsworth went to Gainesville, Fla., Tuesday to visit her sister, Mrs. Lancaster. A child of Robert Perry, who is teaching the Crosswell school, was seriously scaldod last week. F. B. McBee, Esq., of Greenvillo, was in town Monday, on profession al business. J. H. Brown, ot Liberty, will soon have his new store completed and will move his stock of goods into it. Mariali Blakeley, i young white woman, was examined in the Pro bate court Monday for lunacy, and was discharged. Contractors for building the store house of the Hunter, Boggs company, of Liberty, are pushin ; the work to completion. B. 0. Ambler was in town Tues day, with corn to sell. Ho killed three pigs, nine months old, that I weighed 1058 pounds net. J. M. Bolding, Jr., of Praters, I who was attending a chopping r at Samuel Stevens last week, got his foot seriously cut by aglancing lick with his axe. Miss Alice Farr, Daughter of 1 Mrs. Francis Farr of this county, j died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Moore, in Greonville county, last s Tue~isday after a long illness with t dropsy. Monday, the Board of County Commissioners turned over their Dffice to the County Supervisor and the Chairman of the Township Boards of Commissioners, and they now constitute the County Board of Commissioners. Mat thew Hendricks,the County Super visor, is according to the statute the chairman of the County Board of Commissioners. The chairman called the meet ing order audtthe following were present: M. A. Boggs, Liberty; J. F. Lay, Dentral; J. R. Ross, Hurricane; T. A. Robins6n, Dacusville; W. B. Jones, Pumpkintown; Jesse J. Lewis, Eastatoe. Pickens and Easley were not represented. J. A. Robinson was elected clerk of the Board. The public highways were or dered to be worked by the old sight hour custom. The section of the law in refer ence to pedlers was considered and the license fee was fixed at $500, a year. H. A. Richey was given the right to appeal on balanco of :laim of No. 187 in 1892, which was disapproved by the former Board. All petitions for now roads wero :>rdered to be posted by the Town ihip Boards in conspicuaus places md be heard by the County Board t the next regular meetings. J. F. Lay was appointod a mom er of the State board of equaliza. It was ordered that the railroad noney on hand be usend to pay for )ridges to be built the present rear. The seal of the former County joimmissioners was adopted as he seal for the present board. All funds, set apart for building >ridges, were ordered to be paid ut at any time by the county su iervisor and clerk, after the bridges ave been received. The board djourned to meet the 1st Monday a April, the regular quarterly aeoting. Praters Creek singing choir will aeet at the church the 4th Sun ay in this mouth, and a good at endence is requested.
