No text-book on morals is need ed at this stage, but the teacher should by means of illustrations and anecdotes endeavor to impress on the mind of the pupils the proper ideas of what is noble and right. L i p p i n c o tt's Primer of Politeness from the library list is a good book for the teachor to have for this purpose. It is not necessary as yet to have a separ ate recitation on this subject.; instruction can be given inciden tally in connection with other rec itations. GEOGRAPHY. The instruction in geography at this stage should bo oral. The pipilh should learn something about their imninediate surround ings, their county and State be. fore studying aboutd Nitant states and countries.
