Mr, Moseley has been for sev oral years at work as a missionary it Mexico. A letter from his wife t< his father, col. G. F. Moseley, ol this city, received yesterday, an nounced that he is in jail at Sattiloo His arrest and confinement are causei by a track he wrote and circulatei which the Mexicans took to be an at tack on their government and peoplec although it was not so intended. Mir Moseley is safe and is being made ne comfortable as possible in the jail. His wife wvrites that she is allowed te visit him every day. The United States consul generally has taken the matter in hand and expresses the opinion that the Mexicans have no case agamnst Mr. Moseley. As he is an American citizen and has, there fore, ten or. twelve milh.mns of fight ing men, some billions of dollars and a strong navy behind him, he is proh ably not uneasy re;..arding ultimate results.--Greenville News.
